Lab assignments – mercredi le 16 mai

The multiple choice final exam is on Friday (for seniors and periods 2 & 3) and Tuesday/Wednesday (for everyone else).  It is a difficult final with 70 questions covering units 4-7 from the textbook.  There will be listening, verb conjugation, culture, and reading.

Use this final day in the lab to do the activities on Classzone – the lesson quizzes and the online workbook activities.  Units 4-7, and all of the lessons within them.

It is very important that you use this time to review and practice for the final.  The final is not easy, and many of you need to get a passing grade on it in order to pass the class or to keep your current grade.

It is not the time to be playing games, listening to music, texting your friends, checking basketball scores and replays, or surfing random websites. If you are not using the computer to study for the exam, you will be told to log off and given a textbook so that you may do the review activities on paper.

You will need to include the following information in your project:

Geography – where is the country located?  What are the important geographical features (rivers, mountains, etc)

Languages – what languages do they speak?  Obviously, French.  But are there any other languages commonly spoken?

Economy – what is the currency used?  What are the main sources of income for the country?

Culture – what are the cultural aspects of the country?  What religion do people follow?  What holidays do they celebrate?  Do they have a certain clothing style that they wear (like head coverings, women not wearing pants, etc)?

Political system – what political system do they follow?  Who is the leader of the country?  Is it stable, or is there a lot of instability and/or corruption?

Touristy stuff – what are the things that tourists would want to visit in this country?  Be sure to mention several different things (museums, events, natural parks, etc.)

History – are there any important historical events that affect the country today?
